How old is he? Sometimes very young buns and puppy dogs itch themselves a lot.
Rabbits can get food allergies and other types of allergies.

This looks like it could be rabbit syphilis. (It’s not the same kind of syphilis that humans can get, and it’s not contagious to humans).
It is treatable with penicillin injections, and it needs to be treated. (Penicillin must only be given as injections to rabbits, never orally).
You should see a vet about this. It’s not normal and you havent…[Read more]

I don’t see any scaly areas on his skin. I looked all through his fur and there is nothing. He’s itching on his face and ears and I see him nibbling himself. I’m honestly confused

Sorry everyone I had trouble logging in, I have been dying to update you on little Luna!
All the tests were showing normal and negative for everything and up until I last spoke to my vet we were waiting on blood results – I have sent those to him since but he hasn’t been in touch but when I spoke to him I asked about EC treatment as a jic and he…[Read more]

Hi, today I found my 9 months old bunny having some brown/black colored crust on the sides of his mouth and the texture feels is similar to a human scab. This must be very recent since I didn’t see it in my pictures of him a few days ago. I thought looked like dried pellet crumbs, but I couldn’t easily wipe it off with a wet paper towel (he also…[Read more]

If she is eating/pooping fine, then it should be OK to wait for her regular vet. For urgent matters, my vet will allow drop offs to squeeze people in. I might try calling your regular vet first thing.

The otter pattern can be found in a lot of breeds, so you can’t go off of that. He/she is likely a mix. Judging from the ears, I’d say probably medium breeds.

LOL the thought of wasted time chinning made me chuckle. 🙂 So many things to chin! So little time!
My spayed and neutered buns all still chin things, but I agree it could be a bit extra as she goes through some post-spay hormone fluctuations.

This is a tough call. I think it’s important to determine if the ER vet actually has a rabbit vet on call. I would call them and find out. Often ER vets have rotating staff so you don’t necessarily know who will be there at any given time. If they do, then I think it would be best to take her in. Any kind of respiratory distress should be treated…[Read more]

Hey everyone, last year you guys helped me out when my almost five year old bunny was getting spayed. Luckily she handled everything like a champ and she’s been healthy as can be. However, I got back from a trip out of town on Sunday and when I fed her, I noticed she had a slight whistling in (what sounded like) her nose. She was still binkying…[Read more]
