The otter pattern can be found in a lot of breeds, so you can’t go off of that. He/she is likely a mix. Judging from the ears, I’d say probably medium breeds.

LOL the thought of wasted time chinning made me chuckle. 🙂 So many things to chin! So little time!
My spayed and neutered buns all still chin things, but I agree it could be a bit extra as she goes through some post-spay hormone fluctuations.

DanaNM replied to the topic Possible breathing trouble?? Need advice on vet timing in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 1 year, 1 month ago
This is a tough call. I think it’s important to determine if the ER vet actually has a rabbit vet on call. I would call them and find out. Often ER vets have rotating staff so you don’t necessarily know who will be there at any given time. If they do, then I think it would be best to take her in. Any kind of respiratory distress should be treated…[Read more]

Hey everyone, last year you guys helped me out when my almost five year old bunny was getting spayed. Luckily she handled everything like a champ and she’s been healthy as can be. However, I got back from a trip out of town on Sunday and when I fed her, I noticed she had a slight whistling in (what sounded like) her nose. She was still binkying…[Read more]

I haven’t yet. They just have chamomile because I recently lost a bunny with digestive issues and that was one of the things he could handle as a treat.

He could have fur mites, do you see any red or scaly areas on his skin?
Sometimes they also seem a bit more itchy when they are molting.

So I noticed my boy bunny has been so itchy lately and I thought he had fleas because my cat had them but everytime I check him and brush him there’s literally nothing on him. Please help

I’m so proud of my bunny kids! My little boy has been grooming my girl at least a little every session. The only issue they’ve had so far is that in return he puts his head down and leaves it down for too long-he just isn’t recognizing that she’s saying no by not responding so she’s nipped at him a few times to tell him no. But nothing that seemed…[Read more]

I’m glad she has some meds, I hope it helps! Since she seems to be in pain I wanted to ask if you’ve made her food and litter area more accessible? Regular litter boxes can be pretty high to jump into. We cut a long/wide storage container so it has a really low entrance for our small bunny but I bet it would help with a mobility impaired bunny too.

She’s not wasting her time 😄
She could be feeling extra territorial now right after her spay. It is not uncommon for newly de-sexed rabbits to go through a period known as “post-neuter craze”. During this time they can be extra territorial, poop- and pee mark, chin everything, display “cage-aggression” and courting behaviours (circling, honking,…[Read more]

A little apple each day isn’t the end of the world! I got creative with different baby foods with Bun Jovi’s daily meds. I think the kale and apple one was a hit if memory serves

Ok that’s good. I hope she starts feeling better soon. It’s great she will drink water on her own. You can also offer her hay tea, it’s great for poorly buns:
Hay tea – For anybunny who doesn’t drink enough, especially for ill or recovering rabbits
