I would also suggest reminding her that rabbits also have feelings and that neglecting a rabbit can make them depressed. No essential oils are safe for rabbits. Can you find where the ants are coming in? The simplest solution would be exclusion. Seal up the hole or crack they are crawling through.

Dana gave good advice. Talk to the vet and ask questions. Make sure they have experience. Rabbits have different requirements than a cat or dog.
