    Hi all,

My almost 13 year old lop Blu started showing signs of head tilt/nystagmus/going in circles last week out of nowhere.  For his age he has been so healthy I wasn’t seeing this coming. It came as a shock and also took me back to a year ago when I lost my 12 year old Oreo to something similar (hers was not ear infection, more of a…[Read more]

Since Benjamine is not spayed, her hormones are likely triggering these behaviors. Her fluctuating hormones will keep triggering dominance disputes, and his mounting attempts could trigger false pregnancies, which can be stressful for her. Are you planning to get her spayed? Spaying is recommended for their bond to be more stable and prevent…[Read more]

They’re ok as toys as long as your bun doesnt try to devour them. Most buns just like to toss them around, but my young bun wanted to actually eat the one I gave her, so I took it away.

    Hello everyone! Is this normal??

So this behaviour started yesterday with my two rabbits Freddie (3 years old, neutered) and Benjamine (also 3, yet to be spayed) and they know eachother since childhood. Benja started to mount him from the front a couple of times which i stopped but then things started to escalate. Freddie also started to mount…[Read more]

I saw your post in the chat thread and have been thinking about it. First of all, EC can cause microscopic brain lesions that may persist long after the active EC infection has been adequately subdued. Lesions like that may or may not heal on their own, given time. Small brain lesions can cause seizures.

Your description of the episode reminds me…[Read more]

I’ve spoken about this in the chat thread but wanted I update in here for my own reference so everything is in one place.

Monday 2nd January 2023 Apollo had another neurological episode. The camera shows him struggling to walk around, stumbling to his left. He wees on the rug (seemed he couldn’t jump into the litter tray) and then lays down.…[Read more]

I change her litter every 2 days and used a 20L bag which lasted me 2 months, but have now just bought a 30L which is their biggest. I’ve gone up to 3 days without much odour unless you have your nose right up to the litter of course but think I could have gone an extra day. I also use Cage fresh granules which I think also helps with the smell a…[Read more]

Thank you guys! Her poops seem normal, but there is definitely swelling under her right cheek this time 🙁 We’re going to contact the vets to visit asap, it seems like another abscess.
