What do you mean by twitching? Do you mean it looks like it’s involuntary?

Have they done any x-rays or scans? Perhaps she just has a defect in her sinus cavity.

There’s no sign of swelling, pimples, lesions, sores.
Im at the vets picking up her baytril. The receptionist says those notes would not be in the report they sent me from her visit Thursday. These were additional notes vets made after the visit. He made some calls about her. He must have called the wrong phone number when he left me a message. D…[Read more]

I was also wondering if it’s normal for her appetite to kind of ebb and flow so to speak? She was eating really well yesterday, but today doesn’t seem to be eating as well. She’s still munching on hay here and there but definitely not as enthusiastically as yesterday. She also ate most her greens yesterday, but today isn’t as interested. She at…[Read more]

Syphilis can cause sneezing. It is a secondary symptom that is associated with nasal lesions. Not all rabbits with nasal lesions will sneeze though. Sometimes the lesions are not open sores, they can be pimple-like or just a red swollen area. You said you haven’t seen anything though.

Hi,
So Thursday Charlie went to vet for sneezing. We decided to try benedryl and to call if we see thick discharge then we would start Baytril. Started benedryl and yesterday was good. This morning she is sneezing quite a bit, rough sneezing and even seemed to gag once. Otherwise she is playing, running around and being mischievous.
I called our…[Read more]

Hey, I noticed this morning that my bunnies ears are twitching. They don’t normally do this. Sometimes (I think possibly sorry I couldn’t really tell) but theirs heads twitch. They seem normal except for this. Should I worry? Is something wrong?

Hey, just wanted to pop in here since I have good knowledge of the full checks brand. It is petsmarts own brand. Some of their things are ok but most aren’t. I would steer away from the food or toys with food because they do add a bunch of unhealthy and dangerous ingredients into them. Some of their toys are ok but stay away from their loofah, a…[Read more]

So Rue seems to be on the mend. She’s eating well and slowly getting her personality back. However when I went to check her incision last night I noticed some redness. I think it’s always kinda looked like this but I’m not sure since she’s been at the vet so frequently and they’ve been telling me it looks good. I have a couple pictures that aren…[Read more]

Hello! Thank you so much for the reply and help. The methods I have tried were the face to face methods however no fence, but my dad and I held one bunny in our arms and sat close to each other, the neutral space (both bunny in the dry bathroom with towel on floor), exchanging of each spaces and litter box, the doll method ( currently doing) and…[Read more]

One of my rabbits (three years old) is badly disabled and cannot stand up or hop anymore. She is permanently on one side, and scoots around. She is EC positive, but the very competent, rabbit expert vet said that she is not following the normal course of the disease. She also has some disc degeneration. We are not fully sure what has caus…[Read more]

Our beloved Lionhead bunny boy, Teddy, passed away late Tuesday night in my arms. My partner and I are wracked with grief, and also feeling full of gratitude to him for all of the time he so generously gave us. (He made it past 13 and 3/4 years old!)
When his BFF, Athena, passed away in 2018, Teddy was already 9 and we didn’t know if he would…[Read more]

I’m so, so sorry! I’m amazed at the bond you two had. She sounds like an incredible bunny, and she took such great care of you. You must be a special person for her to trust you like that. I’m really sorry that you’re feeling so alone, and hope that you can find within yourself the part of you that can still feel connected to her on some lev…[Read more]

I’m so sorry!! You’ve loved and cared for her so well. Did you bury her with treats? We are doing the same thing with Teddy — at least with things like his favorite dried flowers and willow and plantain leaves.
Big hugs to you — this kind of pain is so hard.
