Haha! Well, you would be surprised how many bunnies we have seen here that were “neutered by their previous owner” and they actually weren’t. Even ask Brunosmama. 😉

I have found that if something is blocked off long enough, bunnies have the tendency to “forget” about them. That’s why putting something heavy on top of a dig spot works so well.

Don’t worry it’s not stupid, but yes he definitely is neutered!

He doesn’t pee infant of the things I’ve placed, he only pees once he finds a way behind them and goes next to the wall! I could try placing something to block that area off, but I feel like once I’d remove it he’d probably go back to going there. I can definitely try it thoughh if…[Read more]

    Hi!

    Yes they can!

That’s what my family was thinking of doing! We have fleece washable pee pads in his pen area so I might buy more of those to but in that area, but they won’t look as nice! But that’s okay its much better than stained carpets!

He goes down almost every day, so I don’t know exactly why he does it. I always bring his litterbox…[Read more]

For some reason, consistent petting during car rides always seemed to help. I don’t know why. If you have a carrier with a little door on the top, that seems to work best.

Stupid question – And you’re absolutely sure he was neutered? I only say this because some of this sounds like territorial marking. BUT even spayed/neutered bunnies can mark things. The behavior tends to be much milder though.

This may sound harsh, but your best bet is to restrict his space and go back to litter training basics. Yes, you could…[Read more]

Arthas is scheduled for his neuter next Wednesday(1/8)!

The shelter was able to get him scheduled in with their vet, so yay free neuter!

That being said, I’m still a little concerned about the car ride. My husband is coming along to hold his carrier and be moral support. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make car rides easier on…[Read more]

Ah, bunnies can be so stubborn!

Depending on how things are set up in your room, you could always put down a washable rug/towel or puppy pee pads. That might work if its just one particular spot along the wall. If he insists on peeing there, at least it will make clean up easier.

Does he pee in front of the objects you moved in front of the…[Read more]

He was neutered at about 2 1/2 months old, unfortunately he was neutered really early, we got him after he was neutered.

He is free roam on my whole top floor when me or my sister are with him. Basically me and my sister have an area between our bedrooms where his play pen is set-up, which he stays in at night and when i’m in school. And when…[Read more]

    Hi everyone!

I have a neutered holland lop, he’s 6 months old.

His main area where all his stuff is, including his litterbox, is in the space outside my bedroom. He mostly pees in his box, but there’s this one wall in my room where he also likes to go. I think he probably goes along the wall as:

    a) a bunny I petsat once peed there and we…[Read more]

    Thank you!

We did one session today as well, they shared a big fresh apple twig!

Then the lady withdrew to her chambers and pretty much passed out under her favorite chair 😄

Julius looks great with the bunny sweater. Rugged yet stylish!

Merry Christmas and hoppy new year! Wonderful pictures, Bruno’s mama!

We initiated bonding procedures  yesterday and started 2025 with a second session. It’s so interesting to watch them!

Both bladder stones (larger crystals) and sludge can cause blood in urine, dark colored urine, frequent urination due to irritation, dribbling, etc. Bladder stones can potentially lead to difficulty urinating if they get big enough (blockage). And sludge will have a paste or sand-like appearance. The symptoms vary and change as things…[Read more]

Thank you so much for your response. Back when the UTI initially began in October, she was given Bactrim which she took for 3 days and her symptoms worsened and increased. So her vet switched her to Enro and we did x-rays and what I believe is called a urinalysis which my vet advised there were some crystals but that this was common. After 10 days…[Read more]

I’m sorry you’re still dealing with this. Did the vet check from crystals in her urine? Larger crystals can cause irritation and sometimes blood too. And you’re sure it’s blood?

As for the cecal problem, have you tried any probiotics or a bland (i.e., hay only) diet to try to get things back on track?

So this is another round of the same…[Read more]

I’m so sorry your poor bun is still losing weight (or can’t seem to keep any on). Unfortunately, I don’t really have any advice, but I wanted to send well wishes and encouragement to you both. 🙂 It sounds like you are doing a great job of keeping an eye on her and getting her help. Bunnies hide illness so well, so she is fortunate to have a…[Read more]
