More space will often improve behaviors, so I would say give it a shot. NIC cube grids are really handy for bunny-proofing. You can use them to block wires and areas under furniture that you don’t want them to go to, and make shorter lengths of tall fencing for areas you need to block.
I think you could be fine with 36 inches. I am guessing that…[Read more]

Ok, so yes that’s a “I want to mount you chase”. Pekoe is then saying “no ma’am”, and asking for grooms. Sometimes buns will groom right before mounting as well to kind of woo the other bunny. Pekoe might be saying “if you want to mount me you better groom me more”, or “I’m top bun here and you should groom me, but no mounting”.
These types of…[Read more]

(This is a long post!)
I’ve been thinking about free roaming Pinky and Muffin in my bedroom once Pinky’s messy poop issue is solved. They are out of the pen all day, then I lock them in at night.
I have two x-pens, one is for them to stay in and it’s connected to the second one that goes in front of all my furniture to protect my things from…[Read more]

ETA: When Nova chases, her ears are up, not flattened and she tries to hump after chasing.

Hi Rubino
im curious, what symptoms is your rabbit displaying?
I’m relieved to read your rabbit is still eating. I hope the panacur arrives so and you can start administering it. Personally, I would just start with that and not give unprescribed anti-inflammatory meds.
If you’re not seeing an improvement during the course of panacur & your…[Read more]

Hi, I’m new to this forum. My bunny contracted E. Cuniculi on New Years Eve and I was faced with the option of euthanasia or a one month treatment. Originally, I decided on euthanasia because I didn’t want him to suffer, but then I thought it would be wrong for me to give up so easily since he’s still hopping about fine and eating and drink…[Read more]

jerseygirl replied to the topic HELP Bunny has Bloated stomach cant take her to vet in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 9 months ago
I recommend you ask at rabbitsonline if you haven’t already. There are members there experienced with kindling rabbits.
I hope she will be okay. I don’t know what else to suggest other then the vet. If there is a experienced local breeder nearby, maybe they can advise you?

If she is otherwise acting normally, it probably isn’t an emergency. Are you positive on the dates? Perhaps she isn’t as far along as you think she is. If she is, then we’re talking retained kits. Doing nothing is risky. They may be reabsorbed… or they may become septic. I would ask you regular vet for advice as soon as you can. They may be able…[Read more]

Since the topic of intentional breeding is prohibited on Binkybunny, many members, including myself, are not knowledgable on the expectations and complications expected with pregnancy unfortunately.
If it is bloat, you most likely only have hours to get to a vet. Bloat is very severe and life threatening. If to the best of your knowledge, you…[Read more]

I haven’t paid attention to how Nova’s ears are but I will from now on. It seems to bother Pekoe, the chased bun, because sometimes he will thump. Other times he’ll turn around after a short chase and lower his head, which Nova will groom.

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Is plywood toxic? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 9 months ago
Birch is a safe choice! I think plywood for a non chewer might have been all right, but you never know because of the glue. Perhaps theres a scent that may be irritating? The more natural tends to be best.
I found an old thread that had some conversation of safe woods: https://binkybunny.com/forums/topic/safe-poisonous-woods-for-your-bun-bun/
