Fur loss to the extent of seeing bare skin can actually happen naturally as a rabbit molts. If it is a large area though, I would consider factors like mites or ringworm. How does the skin look and how big is the skin patch? Is he shedding right now heavily?

Hello, I’ve noticed an area on my bunnies neck is bald. Like just skin.. I wanted to know if this was normal in rabbits and if it even is Alopecia. Sawyer (my bunny) doesn’t seem to notice his lack of hair in that area and is functioning like a typical 3 month bunny so I am really clueless as to what this bald spot is.

Calcium content generally isn’t a problem.

SuperNova started the topic New to Bonding – Need some tips for my girls in the forum BONDING 5 years, 9 months ago
Hi all! I just got into rabbits with my two girls, Nova and Mischa. I got the two littermates as babies and of course, they started fighting as soon as they hit puberty. They were promptly separated and spayed. I didn’t spend much time trying to bond them after this, but they established a pretty good relationship when they’re on opposite sides of…[Read more]

Since it has been going on for two days, there may be something irritating the eye, causing the tear duct to react. Rather than your rabbit over grooming the area, more likely he is “crying” a lot, leading to fur loss and general moist fur in the area. Sometimes these things resolve on their own if it’s something like a piece of hay or eye lash in…[Read more]

Hello,I was wondering if anyone knows why my Appa is over grooming his eye or if he’s sick? He’s eating and drinking and behaving normally but it appears his right eye corner is losing some hair and is a bit pink and raw from grooming. Is there anything I can do to help or does he need a vet ASAP? I’ve been cleaning the corner with a Q-tip since…[Read more]

Dumbo started the topic recurring GI issues — hay only diet? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 9 months ago
Hey everyone!
I have a 2.5 yr old neutered male holland lop, Dumbo. He rarely had GI issues before, and his diet had always been grass hay (mostly timothy, combined with oat, orchard…etc.) + oxbow essential pellet + veggies (3 types per day) and occasionally fruits. About three weeks ago we learned that oxbow essential pellet contains soy and…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic Bunny digging and nipping at my crotch!! in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 9 months ago
Rabbits do like to dig and nip their owner. My rabbit likes to dig in my hair in the middle of the night, fortunately not every night. This is probably to gain my attention.
Many rabbits also like to pee where the favorite human has been sitting, especially in sofas or beds (soft fabrics often inspire peeing in general).
This type of behavior…[Read more]

If he is eating like normal and seems ok, its not a super-emergency. It could of course still be good to call the vet and ask, if the eye discharge persists.
Appetite and poop (amount, shape and condistency) are things to keep an eye on. That he comes running for treats is great!
