Don’t let them interact at all until after he is neutered and his hormones have had a chance to settle for a few weeks. It’s fine for them to live side by side for now though, just make sure they can’t “get at” each other. You would be surprised how high buns can actually jump when they are trying to get to another rabbit!
It’s great they don’t seem to hate each other. 🙂 Once he is neutered and healed you can start doing side swaps for a couple weeks, and then you can start doing “dates” in a neutral territory. This should be a place that neither rabbit has ever been (bathrooms are popular for dating). If you let them run around together in the area where they normally play, they will very likely fight.
