If all goes as planned, Walter gets spayed tomorrow.

From what I gather, I should keep her locked up in her cage, particularly since she likes her morning zoomies in the pen.

So, be best to line cage with pee pads or fleece then?

There is a shelf in the cage, it’s not tall, but it reaches the bowls…I hope that isn’t too much of a jump

Also figuring Boo can then stay in the pen 24/7 and that should help with the bonding?

Currently, Boo gets the pen every evening.  They check each out and seem to enjoy one another.

I would block off the shelf at first. Jumping should really be discouraged. I think having Boo somewhere where he can still see her is a good idea. So yes, if he can be in the pen all the time, that would probably work just fine.
