  Hi, my girl Lockie was spayed yesterday afternoon.
  The lovely veterinary nurses syringe fed her twice before coming home (I wasn’t told to continue this) just to encourage her to eat… Thing is she won’t, she’s had minimal fresh herbs and a nibble of a carrot since coming home 12 hours ago, and I’m starting to worry..
  
  We have wee’s, I have seen her drinking but no poops!

  It is very good that she has had a few nibbles, but if that is all she has eaten in 12 hours, you should syringe feed her. If you don’t have Critical Care, you can soak pellets in water and feed the mush in a syringe.
  
  It is very important that she keeps warm, buns can get hypothermia post surgery. You can give her a warm waterbottle or handwarmers wrapped in a blanket. Make sure she has space enough so she can move away from the heat source if she wants to.
  
  It’s good that she has peed, she was probably given fluids at the vet. The lack of poop is mostly due to her not having enough food in her stomach. She must eat, if you cant get her to eat soon, you should contact your vet clinic. If needed, they can help you warm her up, syringe feed her and maybe prescribe some meds to help start up the gut.

  Did they send you home with pain meds? Females usually need something for the pain to get them to start eating. Males are mostly fine without, but a spay is much more invasive than a neuter.

  She was hospitalised this morning for syringe feeding and monitoring which seems to have done the job, she’s now home (again).
  
  ive set up a smart camera to keep a eye on her without constantly going in and out of the spare room she lives in.
  
  I’ve been given pain meds (metacam), metoclopramide as well as recovery plus so I’m hoping and praying she starts to pull around soon.

  The meds you have got for her are the best, metclopramide for gut motility, metacam for pain relief and recovery plus for nutrition.
