        Hello,

The corner of Appa’s eye is a bit swollen. There’s a light amount of mucus coming out that I cleaned off his eye and some fur came off. He itches it sometimes I don’t think very frequently. Is this an emergency does he need to go to the vet or is it just a bit of irritation that I need to keep clean and monitor? His eating and drinking habits have not changed nor behavior. I’ve added both pictures for comparison.

It looks like there has been moisture there for awhile since the fur came off like that. Any other symptoms? Sneezing, etc.? If there are no other symptoms, then it may be something simple like a blocked tear duct. A warm compress might help, but a vet may need to irrigate it. I wouldn’t consider this an emergency, but you don’t want this to persist for an extended period of time either.
