Okay guys, we have one week left before we go to pick up our new bun bun of joy! Problem is we haven’t finished the enclosure yet! We had originally wanted to do a plexiglass and wood enclosure. We already made a nice wood floor with linoleum bottom. We can’t seem to get the plexiglass cut to the dimensions we want without cracking them. We haven’t fully given up on that idea, but in the mean time, we figured we should just get an x pen of the dimensions we need.

We can’t for the life of us, find an x pen that will fit our measurements!! It’s not like we’re using strange dimensions either. It’s a rectangle shape 6ft long by 4ft wide, and preferably 32 inches tall, but that’s not super important as we will figure out a top. All the x pen’s we see are 8 panels of 24 inches wide. Which would mean we would need 10 panels. Why on earth can’t we find what we need????

        ANY suggestions?!?!

        Thanks!!

Not sure about a specific x-pen, but my favorite thing to use are storage cube grids (“neat idea cubes”) which can be connected with cable ties into whatever configuration you want. I use them a lot for temporary housing and fencing.

Some x-pens that you’ll find will also sell expansion grids and such that can be latched on very securely and look like it was part of the original. Is it possible to create what you are looking for by looking at smaller sizes, then seeing what expansion panels are available?

The Midwest Home for Pets is actually that size. I just measured mine, and they come in different heights. From my recollection, the standard is 8 panels, which will be 4’x4′, and then you can buy 2-panel extensions!
