My two bunnies Winnie and Flossy had their operation yesterday and have both been spayed. Flossy seemed a but withdrawn at first but picked up quickly.They are both eating fine, passing poo as normal, moving around and being active which surprised me! I have been given medicine to help them cope with the pain but they refuse to take it and it seems to be causing them more upset then good. I have tried giving them it through a syringe, I tried putting it on a treat but they left it, I tried putting it on their favourite veggies but they ate around it so I’m not sure what else I can do. I’ve read a lot about how important it is to give females pain relief after spaying, however they both seem to be recovering well from the surgery. So my question is, should I be forcing them to take the medicine or should I leave them if they seem otherwise happy? I’m not sure what is the best thing to do for them. Thank you!!
