Hi there, my names Kayla, and my boyfriend and I finally added a new bunny to the family.
It’s been a very long time since we’ve had a bunny hopping around. In 2013, we unfortunately lost our holland lop Pookie in a house fire.
On August 10, we adopted our new bunny Binx!
He had somewhat of a troubled past. He came to me frightened with overgrown nails. Took him a little white to warm up.
His first owner neglected him, leaving him in a small dirty cage day after day. A nice woman rescued him from that situation, but didn’t have the time to care for him. I luckily saw he was in need of a home and I instantly wanted to adopt him.
He’s what I believe is an Otter Mini Rex. He absolutely hates being picked up, but fortunately now here recently he’s more willing to sit and be petted. He’ll come up to me and my boyfriend and nose bonk our legs to get attention. He has the run of our first floor, and does wonderfully with his potty habits. Never has he gone outside his cage (he’s only in there at night and when we’re away), and he isn’t even neutered!
He’s due to be neutered on the 4th. I’m sure our two cats will be more than happy to have him quit his courting and humping.
