Hello everyone! I’m Cristina, a first time bunny owner. I purchased little Bean from a petstore (pet supermarket), which claims they get their rabbits from a breeder, not a mill. He’s about 2 months old, very shy and skittish, and hasn’t warmed up to me yet. He has been home for 3 days now, and spends most of his time in his cage, unless I take the top off of his cage; he’ll hop out and explore, but won’t come anywhere near me yet. He’s adorable and I love him so much, and really hope he eventually warms up to me.

Hi and welcome to you and Bean! Three days is a very short time for a bunny, but that he’s willing to explore already is great Let him take his time, rabbits are inquisitive and he won’t be able to resist coming to check you out. Don’t try to lift him or even pet him when he does that, and don’t stare at him (that is a tough one I know, but predators stare at their prey before pouncing, so rabbits don’t like it when you stare. Just let him explore, maybe use you as a jungle-gym
