Hey guys, just joined the forum last night, but I decided to wait till I can get a photo of my new bun to write this post. I’m very new to owning rabbit. Last July my neighbor sold me a 1month old baby, which died a week after. Since my neighbor raise farm animals, I trust what he told me anyway. Pretty much it was very misleading information on rabbit care. Since then I’m scared to get another rabbit, because it dies so easily. But, just yesterday my mom spot this cutest rabbit ever (according to my mom), and she decided to just bring it home to me.

Her name is Phoebe. The breeder told us that she is 2months old, but she looks a lot smaller than the 2 months rabbit photo reference. This is definitely not a dwarf species. I’m assuming meat rabbits are just larger in general, that’s why the ones in the photo looks larger. She measures about 15cm long in the position like she is in the picture. She got a thick coat that’s why she looks round, but her body feels rather slim. I can feel her ribs as well. I think the breeder might have underfed her, but she’s been eating and drinking almost non-stop since I got her.
She’s been very sweet, quite active and playful if you let her run around the house; hence, I can’t get her to stay still for a good photo. But, once you pick her up and snuggle her, she will just close her eyes, or even take a nap.
Now, I have been doing quite a bit of research on rabbit care. I really hope that this new bun doesn’t just die on me… I’m just so traumatized from my first rabbit experience. It was horrible.
