  Hi everyone,
  
  I’ve been reading a lot of wonderful posts here as we prepared to get, and then got, our new bunnies We adopted Frankie from a local shelter about 3 weeks ago, and then wanted to get him a friend, so we did bunny dates at another shelter and got Angie (they loved each other from the get go and have been inseparable. I was worried about the bonding process, but we didn’t have one at all. That was a relief!).
  
  They live in an x-pen in the living room, and I expand it during the day so they can hop around more. I’m also going to make the x-pen two stories (well, 1 1/2 really) with clever use of zip ties and clip hooks. I’d love for them to have free range, but Frankie pees on the couches (I’m guessing his hormones are still abating after neutering), and they’re sad when she’s out and he’s not (they just press faces through the bars lol).
  
  I’m sure I’ll have lots of questions from all the knowledgeable bunny-lovers here. Mostly I find answers by searching, but wanted to introduce us so if something else comes up I’m ready.

  Your rabbits are adorable, I can see in your avatar. Is the white one a New Zealand?? And I actually grinned when I read the part about them pressing faces through the bars. That is so cute, oh my gosh!

  Yeah, they’re beautiful; he’s affectionate and crazy and afraid of nothing, and she’s chill and affectionate but hates to be picked up. You can pick him up no problem, and he’s so little you can do it with one hand (which I don’t usually, but if I’m on the couch and he hops up on it, I’ll quickly lift him back down lest he peeeee!). I don’t know what kind they are … they called him a mini-rex / mini-lop … he has one wonky ear and one straight ear, and his eyes are blue. She’s all black, and her feet are sort of furrier than his … she’s more klunky (though he’s a klutz); I think she’s going to be a lot bigger, but not him. The shelter didn’t really have info.
  
  I tried to post more pictures than just the avatar, but they didn’t show up. I have tons of adorable pictures. 🙂

  Welcome! Congrats on the easy bond! BB is a great place for both new and experienced bunny slaves, and we definitely LOVE bunny pics!

  So what you need to do to post pics on here is to first upload the pic. Then it will say the code or something of the pic like 13_blahblah_something right next to that big green/blue button that says upload and has the pic of the green arrow? Well, there should be a little box next to that code/link thing. Click on it and create a thumb-nail. Then it should appear in your post… I hope this helped you out a little, I’m afraid how I worded it it sounds rather confusing.

  And my daughter didn’t put Frankie on her back, he likes to jump on our backs when we’re down on the floor with him. 🙂

  Thank you .. your black and white bun is adorable! Yeah, he stays on fine, but of course we don’t risk him falling by walking around or anything. But he’ll sit up there happy as a clam. I take him down though (when he climbs on me) because he still pees to mark territory, and we’re, uh, apparently territory. 🙂
