Hello everyone!
I just wanted to say hello to the community. I’m a brand new member and bunny owner. I have a 1.6 year old English Spot named Cadbury (Caddy for short), we received him neutered and wonderfully litterbox trained (really I’m impressed with his accuracy). My husband and I adopted our bun from the local Animal Care Center where they informed us he has had 2 previous homes. It made me sad and confused as to why such a happy guy could have that happen to him. I was told that he was returned to the shelter for biting and being generally destructive. As for the biting, we haven’t had a problem at all, although it’s only been a couple days. And the destruction, that’s all good too. We just keep a close eye on him and make sure he doesn’t chew on things he shouldn’t, normal pet stuff I’d think.
We’re really lucky to have Caddy in our lives
We had a bit of a hitch when our apartment management said we couldn’t have a rabbit at first, but we were able to convince them otherwise. As soon as we got him in the door he ran around exploring, and by the end of the night he was binkying about and flopping everywhere. He doesn’t like being picked up, so I’ll probably end up taking him to a professional to get his wee nails trimmed, etc.
That’s all I can think of to share at the moment, but I’m sure I’ll be poking around in the different threads as time progresses!
Here’s a bonus pic of him hating all the pictures I’m taking of him
