The way that I cut my buns back nails is I get my husband to hold the bunny, baby burping style, and I gently take a foot clip the nails. If your bunny is very stressed about it, best to do 1 foot per day. And always reward with a treat after. Make sure the holder (if you can get one) is comfortable holding the bunny and holds him firmly. Some bunnies will try to jump in they are scared. This is the only way I am able to cut my buns nails. It’s a good idea to have a box of cornstarch in the house. Even experienced nail cutters can sometimes make a mistake and cut a bit too short which causes bleeding. Cornstarch will stop the bleeding. A good method is to put some in a small container and just dunk the bleeding nail in. Not trying to scare you, but it can happen. I’ve done it several times. Honestly, I think it’s worse for the bunny parent than then bunny because you feel so bad after!
