Hello fellow rabbit-lovers!
I thought I’d introduce myself since I just registered for this site.
I just got two holland lops, just 7 weeks old right now. Their names are Nymeria and Grey Wind, inspired by the Game of Thrones series. They aren’t spayed/ neutered yet, but they will be as soon as they are sexually mature. I had rabbits in my childhood, and after 6 years of contemplation and longing I decided to take the plunge! I also have a nova scotia duck tolling retriever, Kaja, who (so far) seems to get along really well with the bunnies! She grooms them and lets them hop all over her while she’s lying down. I’ve referred to the forum discussions and articles on this site so much that I thought it’d be great to join the community of house rabbit owners and contribute/ ask questions
I’m looking forward to getting to know the members and their buns! As for myself, I’m 19 and studying Environmental and Conservation Sciences at the University of Alberta (which actually gives me more time to be home with my animals). Please feel free to ask me any questions, give any tips or advice, or just introduce yourself! I would love to hear from you all! Cheers

Are your babies opposite genders? One thing worth mentioning is that if they are male/female then they will need to be separated, no contact at all, at about 3 months old to avoid possible breeding. It takes a split second for them to mate and they can do it through cages! Very determined little baby makers. Once your male is neutered as he will likely be neutered first he still needs to be 100% separate for an additional 4-6 weeks. He still has viable sperm during that time.
If they are the same gender than disregard all that! They can be together unless they start fighting.
You might know all that already as it sounds like you did your research and have been hanging around here for a little while. Glad you joined!

Alfalfa won’t hurt hurt them and is great for growing bunnies but I personally don’t think it’s totally necessary. There are people here that had baby bunnies that wouldn’t eat alfalfa or didn’t for whatever reasons and they still grew up healthy.
I think it comes down to personal preference. The biggest thing at their age is that hay and pellets are unlimited. Here are some great resources for diet:

On top of that pregnancies are stressful and can be pretty risky. Complications can require expensive surgery or be fatal. My advice would be against having one litter.
