Congrats on the new bunny! Isn’t it amazing… once a bunny lover, always a bunny lover, sometimes even decades later! That is so awesome you’ve finally been able to get another bun.
You will find that things are so, so, so different than they were years ago. Rabbits are now accepted as housepets and it’s recommended that they be housed indoors for their protection. Exotic vets now specialize in rabbit health and will routinely spay/neuter rabbits to help make them better indoor companions and improve their health and quality of life.
It can be very tricky to sex rabbits, especially young ones. If you haven’t already, begin a search for a local exotic vet and set up an appointment for him sometime in the next few weeks (a “bunny wellness exam”) and the vet will sex him for you, make sure he IS a he, and discuss diet, neutering, etc… with you.
If you have any questions, please ask! And I do hope you can post some pictures of your new guy!
