Hello everyone I am a new bunny mom and a new member so I hope I do this right?!?!?!
My family is a military family and were recently relocated to Guam, we ended up leaving our cat with my husbands parents because they make it a PAIN in the rear to bring your animals with you. So after being here for awhile I really missed having a pet but my husband did not want any dogs or cats or really anything at all. It took some convincing but finally he let me pick out a pet. I originally went looking for a guinea pig but obviously we ended up with a rabbit. Yes ill admit I got a rabbit on a spur of the moment decision but I think it was one of the best things because she is so AWESOME. She is technically my sons rabbit but I just used that as an excuse : ) because hes two so obviously she is my rabbit. She is around 5 months old and a lionhead, rex mix to the best of my knowledge Her name is Dora after the Dora the explorer one of our favorite cartoons in this house and as you may have guessed if you have rabbits it fits pretty well : ). We have had her for about a month and have fallen head over heels for her. She was very shy in the beginning but has warmed up to me and the kids. Whenever I let her out to run around she always gives me kisses if I put my head on the ground next t her. She also runs down the hallway doing binkies and the bunny 500. It is very entertaining to watch and makes me smile. Once she has calmed down she spends most of her time behind the couch (there is quite a big area back there because we have a U shaped sectional) She does stay in her cage during the day so the kids cant mess with her too much but it is in the living room so she can be with the family. She has been a very welcome addition to the family and I hope we have many happy years with her.
She is not spayed yet but it is on the agenda
Sorry my photos of her aren’t great. I need to get a few more
