Since this website is about the bunnies, I’ll start by introducing Lua. Lua (moon in Portuguese) is a black lionhead with a grey mane. The shelter estimates she was about 6 months old when I got her a month ago. She is my very first bunny, so I’m still getting used to being a bunny mommy, but thankfully Lua seems to be a pretty good bunny to learn with. Lua has quite an attitude and has no reservations about foot flicking me when I’ve displeased her. The shelter told me I was bringing home a shy bunny, but within days of living with us (me and my boyfriend) her personality hit the scene like a bomb. She’s a picky eater, hates being picked up (we’re working on making that only a mild dislike), and only wants pets on her time (which is becoming more often), but for only having been here a month, she is very comfortable with us and has no problem stretching out in the middle of the floor. Also, she was spayed just a couple of weeks before I brought her home, so her some of her initial attitude we attributed to that, and she has settled down.
I’m also trying out Clicker training with her, so I’m always looking for advice.

This was the shelters’ website image of her. Her mane was not that thick when I got her.
A little about me. I’m a graduate student who lives in an apartment. I’ve been wanting a pet for about a year and a half. I’m very much a dog person, but I’m not allowed to have a dog where I live, and I didn’t particularly want a cat. That’s when I stumbled across house bunnies. The idea just made me super happy, and within a week or two of discovering the concept, I was in a shelter looking at the bunnies that needed homes. I should probably add that I did EXTENSIVE reading before showing up to that shelter. I rarely do something without loads of research first. Needless to say, I absolutely love having Lua.
My other main interests are playing video games (if I ever get free time) and collecting books.
I really love this website, and Lua loves your treats!
