Hey,
I'm blout, but im sure you are not here to hear about me. So… Her name is Hope, and she is a netherland dwarf! She will be 11 weeks old tommorow! I am not 100% sure if that is correct, but that is what I was told. Tommoow I will have had her for only a week. She joined the family well.. because my girlfriend really wanted one so we have had her for a week now. Turns out i enjoy her company too. Since she is only 11 weeks old and still a baby she has not been Spayed. I plan on getting her spayed when she is old enough, but I recently read that there are Pro's AND Con's so i will have to learn more about that hopefully before the time comes.
To tell you more about Hope would be difficult. She seems at times like a different rabbit from the day before. I am sure that is because she is still getting used to me, her new home, and growing up. One consistant however is that she loves to jump and run around ALOT, she also loves to tear anything up she can get her teeth on! I plan on showing everyone a photo or two when I can so there will be some here soon!

. Only kidding. I live in Kansas, And haven't been able to find a "Rabbit" Vet in my area even this website doesn't have on in my entire state! This is actually my first rabbit. She is actuall my first…. anything. I have had taken care of pets but they had been fmaily pets when I was a kid. I currently work a TON and have a pretty demanding job, between my girlfriend and I though, I think we are making sure Hope gets the attention she needs.I can't seem to post a picture, It keeps saying "Editor not supported." Any ideas let me know and I can show you what she looks like!

What a pretty bunny! And welcome to the forum
I hope you don’t mind and I am not criticizing you or being hostile. Spaying a rabbit is very important. What where the cons you where reading? I don’t think I have read any cons that concerned me other than possible complications from surgery. The pros of spaying far exceeds the risk of surgery. Cancer is high in un-spayed rabbits. Not only is it important for your rabbits health but for her personality as well. As she gets older and her hormones start to go crazy you will see a completely different rabbit. She will most likely become somewhat aggressive, a lot more destructive, and could possibly not want any interaction from you. I had to wait a month after I got my bunny to get her spayed because she was not yet the right age and wow what a difference it made once her hormones wore off. She was a completely different rabbit, she no longer had accidents outside her cage, wanted attention, isn’t nearly as destructive. The biggest importance of spaying is health though. That should be your main concern.
On the next subject, I know not everyone has unlimited space. I know I sure don’t
me and my fiance live in an apartment with very limited space. Although I would LOVE to have a bunny room and huge cage, I know its not always able to happen. However from what I can see in that picture, that cage looks too small. I had to use a small store cage the first few months that I got my two rabbits and I knew that I would eventually have to upgrade their homes. Please, try and get a bigger cage. My suggestion is to get a dog crate that is big enough for your rabbit to stretch out, a decent size litter pan that can hold her and hay, and however you have your water, food and hay setup. It really is important that she has enough room to lay down and fully stretch out. Another option is there are some wonderful instructions and guides to building your own cage using wire storage cubes. These are great and I believe are cheaper than most small pet store cages. Just do a search on the forum for nic cages and you will find some great information. -

While, it is important to get her spayed, I do not blame you for being nervous and doing tons of research. Both my rabbits were in a pet store cage for about a week. When they switched to the condo and X-pen they seemed so much happier You are doing an awesome job so far as a bunny parent, so keep it up
