we are first time bunny owners, and are very excited …. We do not know the exact breed so if anyone can help us that would be appreciated. I know he is a lop possibly a holland lop …. His name is undecided and we need help with that too your name suggestions would be great or pick one that I can’t seem to decide on. I’m assuming he is about 4 months old as the pet store says he is neutered. We haven’t brought him home yet but he seems very calm and content in the arms or being cuddled he just doesn’t like the transition of picking up and putting down yet. We pick him up on Tuesday
he is a birthday present for my daughter. She is an amazing little girl ….
The names we have narrowed it to down to are :
Dodge
Chester
Bently
Or belle after a princess ( my daughters idea)
Welcome to BB! Congrats on your soon to be new bunny.
I voted for Bently.
It’s really rare for a pet store to spay or neuter their rabbits. Are you getting him from the pet store directly or is it some kind of adoption program through them? Since you are new to rabbits I would really suggest reading the “Bunny Info” sections on this web site, if you haven’t already. There’s lots of good information to be had there. Here’s the link:

I look forward to seeing some pictures! If that’s him in your avatar pic he looks super adorable.
Welcome! I think Bently sounds super cute.
I agree with movediagonally, utilize this site and read up before you bring him home (and before you buy things you don’t need). I’ve never heard of a pet store having bunnies already spayed or neutered either because most pet store bunnies are very very young so I’d suggestion double checking that, but if it’s true then awesome. Can’t wait to see more pictures!
Welcome to BB! You’ll find TONS of useful information here and lots of friendly and knowledgeable people to help along the way.
As for my vote… well I tend to gravitate towards punny, generic, or themed names. Like my turtle “Turtle” and my old cat “Little Itty Bitty Baby Kitty” (no, I wasn’t a child at the time lol).. my fish “Beta” etc.. Right now I’m on themed names, with Bandit, Outlaw and Bumpy (which is themed and punny). Since your boy will be a lovely way for the entire family to bond and share the experience, I’d be more inclined to go with your daughter.
I can totally see myself calling him Bell-boy.. or Bell-hop… lol
im paying 200 for him he is not through an adoption program just a bunny im in bc canada and thats him in my avatar

You’ve posted multiple times, you only need to press the button once (it can take a while to load)
I voted Chester!!!!
Congratulations on your new adoption! It is unlikely he is neutered at 4 months old so I would take him to a rabbit savvy vet ASAP just to get a check up and confirm he is neutered!
It’s great you’ve researched bunny ownership! Good luck and hope to see some pictures of him in our August picture thread! Xxx
my computer glitched im not sure what happened or how to delete these ![]()
like it froze and when i shut it down i guess before it restarted it continued i didnt click more than once :S
I deleted the duplicates for you.
Hooray someone sort of from my area has joined!
Haha welcome!
$200 is a lot for a bunny – holy! My family thought I was nuts because I was going to pay $60 for a spayed bun through a rescue. I have heard of bunnies being spuetered up here at 4 months old so it is not completely unheard of. Just most vets do not recommend it until 6 months.
