Hi! I’m new here… I mean REALLY new! I’m not sure what you’d call me, but the 2-legged creature that keeps invading my home to move my things out of place keeps singing “bumpy bumpy bumpy” over and over whenever she’s looking at me. Seeing that she also brings me food to stuff my face with (and moves in a calm and reassuring manner), I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt that she might be almost as smart as I am and pretend that’s my name! So you can call me Bumpy, just to make things easier for everyone.
I’m about 11 weeks old, and have traveled a few times before I finally made it to my new home. I’ve only been here for 6 days, but I’m already feeling quite at home. Even with several renovations to my personal space, I find it quite easy to stretch out and relax here. There is a second one of those weird creatures who lives with me and the singing one; his singing is much deeper and isn’t as melodic, but we won’t hold that against him. Besides, he leaves my belongings alone.
The other 3 creatures that live here with me aren’t so bad, even though it goes against the grain to not freak out when they get close. Maybe it’s because only one of them really pays much attention to me. I asked him about himself and he told me he was a shihtzu… either that or he’s allergic to my hay, because it sounded like a sneeze to me. I’m pretty sure it was a sneeze because his nose was wet. The other sneezing sounding one is avoiding me. It’s quite rude actually. Whenever I try to engage him in conversation, he runs away… FAST.
The 3rd one is much bigger. My first day here she told me she was what they called a pit bull and assured me that she wouldn’t hurt me. She has stopped and quietly looked at me once a day since I’ve been here, but other than that she sleeps almost all the time. She must be ancient, because she smells funny and stumbles a lot when she tries to get up. I’m glad she doesn’t move around much, because she doesn’t seem too steady on her feet and it’s kinda scary and loud. I have a strange feeling she won’t be living with us very much longer. The singing people don’t sing to her very much. They seem to just sit with her just as quietly as she sits beside me. I can tell she is loved.
The singing beings are almost always here with me and they look at and talk to me often. It makes me so happy that I sometimes feel like I’m going to burst with joy! I can be laying out, chillin, and suddenly become so happy I can’t sit still! My body twitches and moves in ways that are completely out of my control. I’ve heard them singing “binky bumpy” whenever I’m feeling this way. Whooops! Hang on, here she comes again, messing up my home again… I have to supervise. Talk to you all later! Maybe next time I’ll let her talk to you, at least that might keep her away from my things for awhile.
