This doesn’t have anything to do with bunnies unfortunately, I just need some support
I just graduated college at 20 years old and am desperately searching for a job in my profession, but I can’t find one anywhere. So I’m just searching for a job for the time being until something opens up. So I have been on craigslist every day for the past month trying to find a job and applying for a job (any job really but since I can’t find one in my profession I really prefer one with animals *kennels mostly*). I have enough money in my bank account for first months rent for a new apartment (It’s a 3 bedroom that I’m going to split with my boyfriend and 2 of his friends *I know both friends and they don’t care that we have a bunny and are pretty friendly people in general*). I’m just really nervous because I haven’t found a job yet and I really need one and just feel defeated. I just feel sad and that the real world is here now and I have car insurence due (not for another few months *I have it set up where I have to pay every 6 months and it works great*) and student loans (I want to start saving up for payments). I’m trying to take it one step at a time but it just feels overwhelming sometimes. -
I’ll be in that world soon.

(*I didn’t meant to put it as if you did not do those things.*) I would try to rent out areas of your house once (IF) you buy one. Drive around town asking for a job. Have you done much with your state employment office ?(usually the same place that processes unemployment). There might be some helpful job searching services that you’ve over looked. I know they offer a lot of job hunting services where I live (at no cost of course).
I agree with Beka, maybe look for something loosley or non related to your desired profession. That way you can have an income and build up a resume while you continue to look for your ideal job.

No I didn’t take it that way, I know I’m not the only one in that situation good luck with your education what are you going to be? I’m leaning towards either dentist or vetinarian or (very small chance of this) both. For the past month I’ve been saying that I want to become dentinarian.

Beka- I graduated in the Polysomnographic Technologist program (sleep studies), there really isn’t anything close to that except EEGs and I’ve been looking for those jobs as well. My boyfriend is also looking for a job as well and we are currently living together.
Move- I will check to see if there is something like the unemployment thing near me.
Colleen- That sounds awesome Colleen my back up plan was to be a vet tech -
I am going to go with a fellow student that I have become friends with to put in my resume in all of the hospital/sleep labs in areas near me. Sometimes the sleep lab is a different part of the hospital and sometimes it’s like a hotel so it’s a completely different building. Yes it’s a very different field and that’s kind of why I chose it. If I lived in PA I could get $35/hour, too bad it’s 4 hours 1 way

No there are no jobs (that I know of and I am constantly searching) in the area around me, my boyfriend and I would move to PA except he just got accepted to the nursing program at the school I went to and he already did a semester there and next semester starts in a few months. That’s pretty much the only reason why we aren’t moving (and I would take the job and move down there myself but we just don’t have the money to get a second car and for a first months rent down there). Since the shifts are 12 hours I would prefer one closer to me so I don’t fall asleep on the drive back. The closest place that is hiring is 2 hours and 10 minutes away
which would make my 12 hours into 16 hours including the drive there and back. -
UPDATE: So I finally got a job though it’s not in my profession…but it’s better than nothing especially since we moved to the new apartment
actually I got 2 jobs so no more money problems. I’m working at dunkin donuts and goodwill they are within walking distance of each other and only 5 minutes drive away from the apartment -
thanks simba is adorable by the way he looks like a holland lop well I do have practice in the job field because of clinical we did 2 12 hour shifts a week so it’s not as if I have no experience lol though I have to take a $600 test to become a RPSGT which would make job hunting a LOT easier because that’s what they are looking for really. I’m just a polysomnographic graduate….I’m essentially nothing until I take this test
