  Hello my name is Alyson my big boys name is Shashi, after the bunny in the moon. He is a rex with white fur spotted light brown. He is a big guy, double the size of my mini lop I had before. I got him from a pet store but not in the way you think. I was there collecting supplies so I could adopt a bunny in the future. When I went to pay, the clerk told my husband and I that a woman just dropped off her bunny because they wanted a girl not a boy. They were just giving him away. I went to look at him, they had him in a tiny pet carrier and he was stressed. I let him hop out and he was so sweet but frantic. I picked him up and knew he was coming home with me.
  
  He is a big sweetie about a year old. He loves timothy hay, cilantro, kale, and carrots plus the carrot tops. He is too big for his cage, we are planning on building him one soon, but he spends hours out roaming around. He is already litter trained. He has been with us for only three days now. He is getting more playful and cuddly each day.

  Aw such a sweet story! So sad how people can do things like that eh…
  That’s awesome he’s already warming up to you! Not sure if you know, but be cautious about feeding too many carrots.

  If someone could post the how to on posting images it would be a help. I am looking but haven’t figured it out yet.

  Hopefully that helps. Keeping the file size small helps. I think 500mb is the limit.

  I love stories like these! It sounds like fate brought you two together. It’s sad that his previous owners would give him up just because he’s a boy . Can’t wait to see pics of Sashi!

  Okay I think I got the uploading pictures figured out I will upload soon just have to take small enough pictures now lol.
  
  I feel like I was given a gift today. Shashi has been sweet to me but he hasn’t let me really pet him until today. I was sitting on the floor with him and he was justing popping and running around me and then he came to my side and let me pet him. I got to pet him for like 10 mins. He laid very still and even closed his eyes he was loving it. He only let me pet his nose and inbetween his eyes and ears at first but then I could pet down the middle of his back. He gets really uneasy if I pet his sides or near his back legs though. Still learning to trust me I guess. It was just the sweetest thing. Also he is very comfortable around my dogs so I’m thinking the previous owner also had dogs.

  Awwww! He’s getting more and more comfortable with you, that’s great! That’s the best feeling in the world, when a bunny sits/lays next to you pretty much saying, “Okay, I’m done playing hard to get. I like you and you may pet me now.” The first time that happened to me, I was so excited, you’d think a famous person invited me to hang out with them or something.
