Cheddar and Poopy had a couple of hours at the park yesterday enclosed in their pen. Both seemed quite happy to be outside as they hopped around with some spunk. Poopy surprised me because she plopped down to lay on the grass. She’s usually very wary and alert so she doesn’t flop much. Cheddy stayed under the willow tent most when not exploring.
Many kids came up and were entertaining:
- One mom asked her boy what they were. Boy yells out “RAT!”
- Are they going to make babies?
- Are they related?
- Will they bite me?
- Kids couldn’t decide who was cuter.
- Kids and adults marveling at floppy ear buns and how soft their fur is.
- One kid thought that they were puppies.
- Another said that Cheddar looked mad…which is pretty accurate.

Cheddar with that look in his eye, staring me down. This is not the first pic I have with his creeper stare.
