So literally found this forum about 3 days ago (and boy am I thankful for it!).
I’ve been wanting my own rabbit for about 2 years, and it took quite a bit of convincing on my part to my parents. (Living at home, just about to go to Uni for design). My parents finally gave in. I’m already an owner of a 15 year old cat (I got her when I was four) and an 8 year old spoodle. Cat is absolutely terrified of the rabbit. One look from him and she’s on her guard ready to run. My dog on the other hand is readjusting to her positioning in the animal hirachy.
I bought my little Bun from a lady who posted an ad, he was the last one left and I fell in love instantly. I’ve had him for almost 3 weeks now, She told me he was about 3 months old when I got home so he’s coming up to four months now. His name is JC Fenton. Named after a video found here. Much like his name sake he’s a bit of a trouble maker. I think he’s a Lop Japanese Harlequin, maybe cashmere? I’m not sure hes just ridiculously fluffy.

When I first went to see him before taking him home, he was so placid, sitting in your arms like a little baby.but as he’s grown he’s got such a personality. I affectionately say that he likes to ruin everything he touches. But honestly he’s great. Still working on bonding with him, but he’s not scared of me anymore.
When I first got him he was covered in matts (the owner didn’t really know much about cashmere rabbits), so we spent a good long portion of our “getting to know you” stage just getting him all cleaned up. He’s much better for it now, but still has a few tufts of hair under his chin on his chest (which I stare at now with distaste, but know not to touch because immediately he will give me a little bite) I’m waiting a little bit before going to the vet to get him neutered.
He’s learned to jump from the floor onto my bed and since has been running around like a bad thing using me as a hurdle. I’m considering building him little hurdles of his own that aren’t my back.
He’s not a big fan of being pet, or held, but I get to occasionally rub his head and cheeks, and if I’m super lucky, he will climb up my back and sit on my shoulder. Its a very odd experience.
