Hello! I have a male mini rex rabbit named Clyde. He is without a doubt one of the most important things in my life! I got him about nine months ago from Swap Days (a local “flea market” kind of thing. Its HUGE thousands of people show up over the weekend). Anyways, he was a total impulse buy. I went with my mother because neither one of us had been to swap days before and while we were looking around I kept seeing rabbits. I thought to myself then, I want a rabbit. I told my mother and she said “Sure why not!” So I picked out a cute one from a breeder who shows rabbits and I brought Clyde home. We planned on building him an outdoor hutch, but after doing my research we decided to keep him inside. I am not sure of his actual age as we didn’t ask the woman how old he was. If I remember she mentioned that the bunnies were a few months old..so I’m guestimating that he is about a year old.

So a little more about Clyde, he is spunky and full of energy. He LOVES to be pet, but on his own terms. He is into EVERYTHING. So much so that I’ve had to block off a section of my bedroom just for him were I have sheets down so he won’t rip up the carpet. He LOVES carpet. He doesn’t eat it, he just LOVES it. He will rip it up to no end. There are several bald spots in the carpet. When I move out of my parents house I will have to replace the carpet!  Of course its all worth it for him.

In addition to owning Clyde I am currently working on contacting a rabbit rescue in my area to see about fostering a rabbit. Since Clyde is not neutered *yet* we have to bunny proof another room for this new rabbit if we do decide to rescue. Which I am really looking forward to.

So that’s pretty much everything in a nutshell..I am absolutely obsessed with rabbits! I would gladly give up my whole room to my rabbit full time if my parents would let me. (Also, if my whole room was carpet! )
