Hello everyone! My name is Rex and I have finally convinced my human slave, Sam, to become a member of this site (she uses it all the time for a reference so why not?).

I’m an astonishingly handsome male rabbit, but then what Dutch/Rex mix wouldn’t be this handsome? I’m about 4 years old and my friends say that I’m “Cool as an Iceberg” because of my laid back personality.

But I’ve got more than just good looks, I’ve got brains too!  I do agility, including slalom poles, high jumps and long jumps, along with a whole bunch of tricks. My favorite trick is “spin”, sometimes I do it just because I can, but I also know “high five”, “up” and have a few others that I’m still perfecting.

I’ve known my human slave my whole life, but she didn’t formally adopt me until I was almost 9 months old.  Why so long? Well I ended up getting really sick. I couldn’t walk or even stay up on my feet and obviously I wasn’t going to make it without vet attention, so my slave offered to take me in. She took me right to the best vet clinic in the whole wide world where like 8 different people poked and prodded me with all kinds of funny looking things!  We ended up going back quite a few times but eventually I started to feel better and could even stay up if I could prop myself up on something. Sadly the vets said I had permanent and severe nerve damage that would never go away and I may never hop again.  6 months of intensive “bunny therapy” and muscle control exercises and I could walk/hop again! It’s been almost three years and I can do almost everything a normal bunny can do!  (Although I do still stumble and fall a lot, but don’t tell anyone I told you.)

I suppose this isn’t all about me though, so a little info on my human slave:

She is a second year college student studying Mechanical Engineering. She is pretty awesome, but not quite as awesome as me. We all know that I’m the only reason her friends come over!  We live in a tiny apartment that feels more like a closet right now. Even our fridge is in a minnie size, there is barely enough space for my slaves stuff once all my veggies go into it!
