Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I’ll try and get some pictures up soon. I have no idea what kind of rabbit he is, he’s white with some black spots, shorthaired, and has ears that stand straight up. I’ve seen a couple of rabbits on here that he looks like. I have a question – please let me know if you have any ideas – my rabbit will NOT eat ANY hay! He did when we first had him, then he had the teeth problems so I wasn’t as worried about him eating it, but now especially after his surgery I want him to have some. It’s been months since he’s even been interested in hay. I give him first cut Timothy hay with no luck and then I cut it into thin pieces but he won’t eat it. I got some alfalfa to mix just a little in and nothing. I bought orchard grass to try and he ate one piece and then layed down on it lol. I ordered second cut Timothy hay from American Pet Diner today to see if he likes it. He eats his pellets just fine and eats beet tops, basil, bok choy, and romaine lettuce just fine, so I don’t understand what’s going on. Since his surgery was so recent, I don’t want to take away the pellets that he’s actually eating on his own right now, but maybe next week I’ll cut down on the pellets. He’s had bad teeth for a long time now, but I figured since he ate everything else he would eat the hay. The vet says his other teeth are good, there was just the infection in the 4 teeth he pulled. I know how important hay is for him so I’m hoping he likes the new hay. If not, does anyone know if there’s something with that much fiber that I can give him daily like a liquid suppliment from the vet? All this stress over hay seems crazy lol.
