  Hi! I’m new to this site. I’m looking to possibly find others who live in Buffalo(or surrounding areas) N.Y. to get opinions on vets and just to browse around at different ways to create a bunny “cage”, different views and opinions on raising the bunny and especially just sharing stuff about Flemish giants. I do a lot of research but I don’t know anybody with a Flemish.
  
  I’ve had rabbits in the past. Growing up I had a rabbit named Lucky who had run of the whole house. He made his bed in my futon mattress and loved it. When I moved out I had a lion head dwarf named Iris after a Goo Goo Dolls song , it looked like she had a letter “i” on her back. She was about 6 when she passed. I also had adopted a lop mix bunny named Moosey who had passed away about 2 years go. I had no idea how old he was. I thought he was big… until we got a 4 month old Flemish giant in October 2011 and realized that this is a big bunny!

  3. How long has your bunny been with you? Since she was 4 months old.
  
  4. Spayed/Neutered? Not yet! But can’t wait until she is!
  
  5. Rabbit Personality Traits: Calm but chases you around if she wants scratches, diva, loves attention
  
  I’m a Google addict, I never seem to do enough research. I’m a stay at home mom right now to a three year old, almost 4(starting school this year!), 2 ferrets, 3 cats, 1 dog, fish, a rose hair tarantula, a budgie, hamster, and of course my flemmie Grizelda (Zelda for short). I’m a hairstylist on the side for now. Working on getting that together since my son is starting school soon!

  Welcome to BB I am super jealous that you have a flemmy!! There are actually quite a few people here who have them too and would probably love to talk to you about them!

  I have a Blue Flemish Giant named Blue, and he is 7 months old. He got neutered in June of this year and has been with me since he was about seven weeks old. he weights about 18 lbs already and is a lazy bones around the house. He will let you know he wants something by comming over and nibbliing on you and pushing you with his weight. LOL He is bonded with our 6 month old Mini Lop Baby, and she is a diva and has him wrapped around her paw lol. you’ll have to put up pics of yours.

  That’s is a big bunny! My girl was about 15-16 lbs when she was 7 months! They grow soooo fast! I’ll get pictures up as soon as I figure out how to! Haha.

  OMGGGG — I’m so jealous! I want a Flemmie SOOO bad but our place just isn’t big enough for one right now (we live in a 3-bedroom condo) and already have 3 little Tan rascals running around. And you’re from Buffalo, NY?!! I went to school in Rochester! And lived in the Southern Tier (down by Dansville, a small town called Arkport) my whole life!
  
  I just recently moved to Pittsburgh (about a year ago when I met my BF)! Sorry I can’t help with vets around there or anything but I thought it was really cool that you were from there!

  Jodi: you can put pics on this thread if you want. You have to hit the reply button (not the quick reply) and then down at the bottom of the page that comes up, you’ll see a box that says “attachments”. Go from there, it’s super easy!!

  Tanlover: Woo hoo, wny! I hear ya! We live in a two bedroom apartment near downtown Buffalo. Its small. Its not easy. Especially with the ferrets! They are the smelliest things I’ve ever smelt. Haha. But I love them. We just bought an exercise pen for Zelda and we are dumfounded about where to put it. It definitely makes me ready to move somewhere bigger!

  Hahahahah, too funny! I had a ferret actually to when i lived in Rochester. His name was Leonard and I LOVEDDDDD him so much. He was adorable. And so much fun to play with. But yeah, he had his own bedroom… LOL. I suggested to my BF that we get a ferret since we can’t have animals and he denied me because of the smell… but then we got our buns so I’m perfectly content!
