Hi! My name is Skippy. I am a lop with grayish-white coat with a caramel tint at the ends. My owner took me home three days after her first rabbit, Nibbles passed away, who she had since she was eight. She was heartbroken, and I came along to her surprise as his exact same twin! Same lop ears, eyes, coloring, EVERYTHING! I helped heal her heart and bring her joy. She brought me home during January 2011 and has had me since. I just turned a year old, since she got me when I was three months old. I was part of a litter and was the last one looking for a home. My former owners called me “Princess”, and boy, were they surprised to find I was a boy! No wonder I was running a marathon around their yard while they were trying to catch me. I am a better boy now, and enjoy going on long walks with my owner around her big yard. I am a very clean, litter trained gentleman. (unlike my friend Snicker, who you will hear from soon) I recently discovered a love of apple sticks, and have been skinning two a day! My owner thinks of me as a skilled carpenter. I am not neutered yet, but will be soon. You’ll hear from Snicker now, while I finsh skinning my apple twig.
Hola! My name is Snicker. I am an adorable tan lop who everyone loves. I was rescued three days before Christmas before being sent to a shelter before Christmas. A nice lady found me a few months ago in an alleyway in her home in the city area. She took me in, and cared for me for a couple months. She and my owner assumed that due to my age, I may have been part of an unwanted litter that the breeder did not want or could not afford, so they threw me out. I may have brothers or sisters out there, but my history is unknown. The lady had a large dog, and was moving, so she could not keep me. She put up an ad on CraigsList, in hope to find me a loving home. Kristie saw my ad, and although not expecting to get another bunny, still took me in. She hasn’t regretted it since! I love rubbing my chin on her finger, and do that to anyone who visits me. I’m a little bundle of joy. And, Skippy, I have been working my hardest and are as good as you with litter training. I love anything edible, and are a good eater. I also love going on walks and have set an all time record of 15 binkys during one walk. I also developed the unappreciated habit of humping for a bit, and in the process popped three balloons, but my owner was supervising me and picked up the remains to make sure I was safe and hasn’t done it since. She gave me a soccer ball, and waalllllaaaahhh! I went at the indestructible object for a couple days, then totally quit my habit. Kristie has had me for a couple months now, and gave me the name Snicker for St. Nick and my colorings. Adios for now!
Hi! I’m Kristie. You met the bunnies there, Skippy & Snick. I recently joined this forum, and haven’t regretted it! It’s nice to see a just rabbit forum out there, as they are sparce nowadays. I’ve owned rabbits for the past four years now, and have loved every minute of it. They are a very rewarding pet. I have a weakness for animals in need, and so does my parents, and that’s how we ended up with Snicker, who was going to be sent to an animal shelter for Christmas if we did not adopt him. I love horses also, and own one named Tessie on my grandparents farm. I am willing to help out actively with any rabbit questions, and would be more than happy to share my knowledge with others. I’m proud to be part of this site, and hope to meet new friends! Thank You! Pictures of the bunnies will come soon!
