So a few months ago I started a rabbit agility diary, which was lots of fun, but I realize that I never really finished it. WELL! She passed the first class with like 86/100 points. We did the next level and she passed that with 96/100. And now we’re onto our third class!  It’s so much fun. Right now we’re working on going up/over/down a bridge, going over an A-frame that is only a few inches in height, doing a straight and curved tunnel, and jumping! We do a straight jump, an oxer jump (two straights jumps lined up for width), a double jump (jump in and then jump out), and a jump that is spaced, meaning it goes bottom bar, space, top bar rather than a bar on each level. I challenged her last night and did a bar, space, space, bar, and twice she tried to go through instead of over, but I said ‘up’ ‘jump’ and she stood up and jumped over  I think she really enjoys it. We also practice voice cues like left, right, hop, and stay. I encourage anyone who has an opportunity to either pick up some books or go to a class to do so, it’s awesome!  If I ever get pictures I’ll post some.

That is really cool! I’d love to see pictures or videos if you can. I wish we had something like that here.

What books do you use for rabbit agility? Are they specifically for rabbits?!? I have been considering this with Nova. She will do anything for a papaya tablet!

I just started considering this for Tipsy… she LOVES jumping! today she just catapulted herself onto me… she was zooming around and jumped a good 3 feet long jump onto the couch, I was pretty impressed! She can also jump onto my bed which is probably 2.5 feet high with no problem… anything that she deems worthy, she will jump on top of, like my riding boot boxes. I just dont know where to get jumps and how to start!

Maybe you could try taking some video. Might be easier than mid-air still shots. Hehe!

I agree, some videos of this would be cool to see!

                    Unfortunately I don’t have a video camera or digital camera . . .

                    *hides from the vegetables*

but there are a lot of videos on you tube you can view of people with professional bunny jumping and agility. I will try and get some pictures if I can.

Kattin: I have a book on clicker training, and that is a good place to start. Those concepts are used in training for rabbit agility as well.
