Hello Everyone!! I’m Vanessa, I’m 21 and I’m a huge animal lover. I’m originally from England and I moved to California in May 2011, to marry my husband. We got our bunnies in June when they were about 2 months old, so we’re guess they are about 7 or 8 months old. Their names are Amy, who is a boy and Daisy who is girlie. We originally thought they were both girls, hence the name for Amy. They were five months when we discovered Amy was a boy bunny and Daisy had already become pregnant. She gave birth to three little cuties on the 20th October and are 5 and a half weeks old. We’re planning for them to go to their forever homes once they’re weaned and if we can manage to give them up. Amy has now been neutered and Daisy will spayed at the end of December.

Amy is quite a sneaky bunny and very bright. He likes to jump up high onto things and he will quite happily tear up boxes and phone directories. He will nip at my feet to get my attention and if I can’t pay attention he will bite down hard. He’ll also nip at me after a little while if I pick him up.  He really enjoys a nose rub and chasing me around the room. Since his neuter he is now litter trained.

Daisy is a little sweetie and a hyper little bunny. She loves doing binkies and will run up to me whenever I open the door to their room. She likes to chew on my shoes and throw things across the room. If I pick her up she will lick me and she really enjoys licking my husbands arm hairs. She is not yet litter trained, but I will be trying again once she is spayed.

My bunnies live outside in a hutch the first few weeks that I got them. I then convinced my husband to move them inside and they then lived in a c&c cage. They will have a whole room to themselves by the end of January.

I have had many other pets before, but I had never had any bunnies. I have had cats, guinea pigs, birds, fish and hamsters. I also studied Animal Management when I was in England, so I have worked with bunnies. I chose to get bunnies because just before I left England my sister got a bunny called Vincent and I saw just how cute they are too have at home.

I’m looking to making new friends with my fellow bunny lovers.

This is the babies at 2 weeks old.                                               This was taken on Thanks Giving Day at 5 weeks old.

                Your bun is a cutie.

Ooh yes, their rabbitude will come out in no time She used to be as sweet as sugar… now she gets angry and thumps when her breakfast isn’t given to her on time, and she footflicks me after I give her a raisin!!

Is one of the babies a lionhead? !! *gasp!*

I think so. When we got our two bunnies, we were told they were half dwarfs. Daisy looked like a Lionhead, so I guess that’s half. She’s lost most of the fur now around her head, but here’s a picture from when I first got them.
