        Hi, guys!

        This is Ralphie.

He’s hanging out in his favorite spot in the kitchen, behind the dining table.

We went into a pet store this past February looking for dog stuff and this little guy stole our hearts. I’d been wanting a bunny for months (I had them years ago, as a teen), but my boyfriend said nooooo. Ralphie charmed him right away and he got to come home with us the following day.

We were told at the store that he was 10 months old and that a family had brought him in because they “couldn’t keep him”.  I think they probably got him for Easter last year and once he hit adolescence and started acting like a big boy rabbit, they didn’t want him anymore. My lucky day!!

We just got him neutered this past Friday and he’s doing fabulous. He’s a good bit calmer already and just wants his little head to be petted. Ralphie has been a kisser from the moment we got him and he’s been covering my arms and face in bunny kisses.

Oh, and here’s a pic of Ralphie and my boyfriend (the one who said noooo to a bunny!). Of course, he loves him to death now.

And my name’s Andrea, I’m from South Carolina, and when I’m not chasing Ralphie around the house, I like making jewelry, reading, and surfing the net.

I can’t tell you how much this forum has helped me. I feel so confident getting rabbit supplies and knowing I’m making the best choices for Ralphie because I’ve learned so much here.

How awesome it worked out you were longing for a bunny and Ralphie’s old family had returned him. I’m so happy for everyone. He’s super handsome.

Welcome to you and Ralphie! He’s so adorable. I find Dutch bunnies very stunning.

but my boyfriend said nooooo. Ralphie charmed him right away and he got to come home with us the following day.

I laughed when I read this because it’s similar to how I got my first bunny, Stormy. My boyfriend actually said “in like 6 months or so we will start looking for a rabbit”. The next night Stormy became ruler of our house!

I like the name Ralphie. Great name for a cute bunny. And reminds me of one of my fave movies “A Christmas Story”.

Hahah that is exactly what my boyfriend told me…”in a few months, we’ll start the process…”

and that is precisely what Ralphie is named after. That’s one of my faves, too!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!
