Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself and my very first rabbit, Rory (you guessed it, short for Rorschach. It’s not my fault if he has a near-perfect ink blot on he bunny-butt!) To my knowledge (a.k.a. what the shelter told me), he is 4.5 lb, 18 months old, and neutered:
I picked him up from the SPCA serving Erie County, NY this past Saturday. So far he’s been a fearless adventurer and a rather opinionated bunny concerning where things belong; this morning I found his hay manger, which hooks onto the bars of his cage, on the opposite side of his cage from where I’d put it last night. There have been a few bites, many scratches, and a complete refusal to accept his new name (the shelter had named him Q-Ball).
Also, forgive the terrible quality of the pictures; they were taken with my cellphone, then only working camera I own. He doesn’t seem to mind having his picture taken, though; something tells me he’s more vain than he wants me to think. His hobbies so far include sitting on my feet and poking at my two cats, who are completely bewildered as to what he is and what they should do about him.
So hello from Rory and I, and thanks so much for the help I’ve already gotten concerning his behavior, and I look forward to giving and receiving more help in the future!
