Hi everyone, I’m Henrietta and I just joined though I’ve been lurking this forum for awhile now. I got my bunny almost a year ago but for the most part I have not been with her. I was away at college and my landlord there didn’t allow any pets, not even caged ones. So my Momo has been living with my roommate’s littler sister for the past 6 months. She is a white and gray female mini rex that I bought as a baby from breeders who attended my college.

          Hi, Hen,
Welcome to the site. Is Momo going to be moving in with you soon? Or eventually?
Lurking is good. Be sure to read up on all the sections of the Bunny Info. drop down menu for tons of tips and pointers on all things bunny. Also, read through the forum rules section to be sure you are up on our site. We’re a fun bunch of bunny slaves here, so glad you’ve decided to post.

We do have one little teeny habit. We love pix! We pass around a poking stick to prod people into posting pix of their bunnies.
          Poke!

I guess this is a bit of a late reply but here she is

She’s living with me for about 2 weeks now. I got her before I went to my new apartment. I expanded her cage as well since before she just had one of those small cages from the pet store, so I added a 4×4 NIC cube around the doorway so she has more room to play

Her nails are like daggers though I don’t think they have been cut at all since I dropped her off at my roommate’s place. I need to cut them but when I try to pick her up she flails out and I end up getting scratches everywhere

A good way to restrain her is putting her in your lap on her back. You can also wrap her in a towel. Here’s a good link on how to do it:

She’s very cute Is she going to stay with you for this year or are you going back to college?

I got her front paws done by doing the bunny burrito (soo cute with her head poking out) but now I’m not sure about her back feet. I might just wait until my sister is visiting during the weekend so she can hold while I cut lol

And yep, she’s with me for good now. I graduated in June so now its bunny time Once I get my first paycheck I can spoil her with new toys

Oh that’s awesome! I was hoping she would be And yeah back feet are definitely more tricky! Some vets will charge a minimal fee to clip nails so that’s another option you could look into.

I get my vet to do Anya but I had to do her’s last night as they had gotten really bad! There is a tick and it does take practise, I always feel better when i have a second person there to help as i always worry about cutting to much!
