Hi! I’m happy to meet you. I am very new to this type of forum, so I’m still familiarizing myself with all your icons and such! Hope everything turns out okay!
My bunny, Hodari, is a Lion Head. She is light gray, or gray and white; when looking up info about her breed I saw that breeders decribe her as a pearl-point marten. Is that right?
I am sorry to say she came from a pet store, where everyone, including grabby young children, carried her around.
I was worried for her safety and talked my husband into bringing her home. (“We’ve had a guinea pig,” I said. ” A bunny can’t be much different, right?”)
We’ve had her since February 21st. She was spayed on March 31st. It was estimated that she was probably close to 4 months old on the day of the spay. Our vet does spays/neuters every week, and she felt that our bunny’s young age was actually an advantage as far a recovery time goes and considering that there would be little fat accumulated around her organs yet. Hodari did great! She was eating and pooping not long after the surgery.
BTW, the name “Hodari” is Swahili, and it means “brave, strong, and clever,” depending on context. Hodari is cautious about new things, but never panicky. She adapts well to new sounds and situations.
She loves to have me cuddle and rub noses with her, but she hates to be picked up. Her favorite hobby is to dig at towels, or anything she thinks she can move, and when she’s in her dog crate she likes to try to pull things (her willow baskets, her grass mats, etc.) through her grass tunnel.
Here is a recent picture. The white coloration around her eyes is becoming more intense. I love watching her grow.

Welcome! She’s gorgeous.
Such a beautiful little cutey! Welcome! Sounds like she’s quite the interior decorator. One of mine was like that, she would snitch all kinds of items to decorate her condo with. Of course we need lots of pics of your bunny…lol
She is so beautiful. I agree we need more pictures of this little stunner.
welcome she is SO cute!!!! I love her name how neat! I giggled out loud that her favorite hobby is to dig hehe~~
Thank you for the welcome and the compliments. I will try attaching another recent pic.
kralspace, I had no idea bunnies could be so industrious! My husband says that, since Hodari is such a hard worker and so strong for her size, he’s going to put her to work digging in the garden; most of what we plant will be for her anyway.
That’s so cute that your bunny took things of yours to put in her condo. I caught Hodari trying to pull a handtowel through the bars of her cage a couple of times. Oddly, she never has messed up the “blankie” in her willow bed, but everything else has been rearranged repeatedly. Here she is with some of her towels:

What a cutie!!! She’s a lucky girl to have been picked by you!
I love her color. I had a parakeet one time about her color and he was so gorgeous just like her.
Hodari is precious!! Love her coloring. Can’t get too many pictures. (hint hint) lol. Congratulations and Welcome!!

Okay, here are a couple more.
These are two of my favorite baby pics of her. They were taken in early March, about three weeks after we got her. She’s growing so fast!!!!
Oh my gosh how CUTE!!!!
She will be slowly growing into being a Diva.. I see that look ![]()

Uh, oh!
I guess I’ll let her, then! To me, she’s deserving of princess treatment. My husband teases me, saying “Nothing’s too good for that bunny!” He’s a pretty perceptive guy! ![]()
She is teaching your husband who the boss is, she will definitely be a diva
Bunny knows all!

Hi, miley14. Thank you for the compliment.
To include your pics in your posts, browse your files, upload the pic you want, and select the box that says “insert in post.” (That may not be exactly what it says, but it appears on the right hand side of the attachments tab after you’ve uploaded your image.) hth. There’s a section about technical stuff on here if it doesn’t.
She almost looks like she is camouflaging herself amid all those towels! lol Very adorable bunny.
