I’m new here. My name is Melissa and i’m a mommy/slave to 1 little boy and 5 girls. I’ve had the girls for 5 years and Brighton for 3. I got Brighton for Rachel from a guy whose wife was having their 2 baby and didn’t think they could spend as much time with him as they should.

Myself 

1. Are you new to rabbits or have you been a bunny slave for a long while now?  Been a bunny slave for a long time. I don’t even have to say who i am on the phone to the vet. They know me by voice and animal name.
   
2. What made you choose to have a rabbit companion in your life?  I blame my dog Lady Louisa. She was having a fake pregnacy and adopted a wild baby bunny. We didn’t know wild bunnies and domestic bunnies couldn’t be together and so we got her a friend. Said friend passed away two days later. My mother brought home Leah and Rachel. Then came Beka. We got Mary the night we let Lola go back to the wild..  Then we got Hannah. Got Hannah a friend. Friend died two days later. Got Essy. Then my parents brought home Taby. Found out Hannah was a Hanan. Hanan got sick and found out he had cancer throughout his body from birth. He passed away. Later got Brighton because Rachel was getting picked on. That summer Taby passed away from being the only third rabbit known to die of a single large kidney stone. Essy moved in with Brighton and Rachel. That’s where i am now. Ten times more rabbit savory than i began. 
   

1. Anything else that you’d like to share. Right now i’m a pharmacy technician, but i’m going to be going back to school this summer to get my certication as a Vet assistant. Then i’m going to get my vet technician degree.
