So I adopted “Emily” aka Mama still working on her name from the humane society two days ago I had been looking for a companion for a while and she jsut seemed perfect. While at the shelter she had three buns and they are all still there (I am tempted to go get another!). She is now spayed and seems very calm and timid at the moment but she was at the human society for three months.

I have been trying to get her used to me its much easier that I thought but still is going to take some time. I think she misses her babies but I was just not sure I could take on two at one time. I do have the space and time but Im still unsure!

She is about a year a half and weighs about four and a half pounds she is a rex mix of some kind I can not upload pictures but I can attach a link.

This is her cage that she is only confinded to at night then she is let out into the run area I do not trust her fully yet since it has only been two days and I live in a very larget stuido apartment NO DOORS NO ROOMS so she would be running all over the place I am sure!

Any suggestions on how to make it better (oh since the picture I have covered all of the floorings with soft mats) She never goes to the second floor :/ maybe she cant jump that high I am unsure!

Well I am happy I have found this amazing site everyone has been super helpful! Thank you all!

She’s beautiful and so lucky to have you care for her. I say, just give her time and she’ll come around. She’s probably still in sensory overload and learning the new routine.

Awww, too cute! I’m certain my next bunny will be a rescue bunny too.

She can jump that, no problem. Give her a couple of days guaranteed!
