  Just saying hey and making the proper introduction. the avatar pic is “Rex”, our family’s first rabbit. He’s a 6 wk old red mini rex. my wife and I just got him for the kids last weekend and we’re at least as into him as they are, lol. Rex seems to have bonded more with my daughter(10yrs)more than anyone. He always goes up to her when he’s out and licks her. NEVER kicks or panics when she picks him up and just seems really relaxed with her. We’re gonna build a 2 story NIC condo this weekend. anyway, just saying hi.

  Be sure to watch him around the children, for his safety and theirs. Once his hormones kick in, cuddles and petting that he tolerated before, he may no longer accept. Have you started looking for a rabbit vet to neuter him in a couple months?

  Beka27, yep we have a local vet here that’s gonna do it as soon as it’s time.I make sure my son(4) is always supervised by myself or my wife when Rex is out because, well, we all know how 4yr old boys are, lol. Thanks for the advice.

  Welcome!! We have a 4 yo boy too…and a 5 yo lol…lots of fun. They (and all the other kids who are always over) are under strict orders not to pick up, chase, or poke the buns. :p They’ve all learned quickly, and now the buns love pestering the kids for pettings when they’re out!
  
  I love the rex fur…congrats on your new little guy, can’t wait to see more pics. He must be absolutely adorable right now, so young.
