I have been wanting a little girl again for some time and Ziggy seemed perfect.  I was touched by the story as well so I emailed. They were very excited when I told them about how we take care of our buns and said they thought we’d be perfect.  We made arrangements for them to bring Ziggy to our house this past Sunday evening so we could all meet one another and if all went well Ziggy would stay.  Which she did, Yay!

Let me tell you, I fell in love with her instantly!  She is so beautiful and sweet!  Within 5 mins of holding her she was giving me kisses!  She loves to be held and petted and will sit in your lap forever!  Since last night she has started to feel more comfortable in the house and has begun exploring everything.  It’s so cute to watch her. Run, sniff, rub chin, run some more – all over the place!

Now for the other great news!  Not only did I get a new sweet bunny but Oreo and her seem to be made for each other!  The first night she was with us we had her on my daughter’s bed.  I felt something on the bed and assumed it was one of her cats.  Nope!  It was Oreo – the stinker!  I started to get him off but he had immediately ran over to her and put his head down.  She immediatley put her head on top of his.  Then they just kind of sniffed each other, Ziggy jumped in her litter box and Oreo just laid next to it.  I let him stay for about 10 mins then took him to the living room/kitchen area.  I decided to set her pen up in the kitchen so they could be near each other and get used to each other.  It was so cute – Oreo would run around & around the pen and Ziggy would try to follow him.  They would lay down side by side with only the pen between them – adorable!  Yesterday morning Oreo came up to the pen and put his head down and she started grooming him!  Last night I decided to see what they would do if I let her out.  I was worried Oreo might get territorial since she was in “his area” but it didn’t bother him at all.  He would just lay in the doorway or under the table and watch her as she would run all about.  He is such a laid back bun!  Whenever she would rest Oreo would hop over to her and they’d lay down together or at least near each other.  Here’s a couple of pics of them from last night:

I think I may get lucky and have a very easy bond with these two!  She hasn’t even been with us for 48 hrs yet and look how well it’s all going.  I am so excited because as I mentioned before I have been wanting a sweet girl for awhile (since my angel Boogity went to the bridge 2 years ago now) and I’ve been wanting a bonded pair again (since my precious pair Flopsy & Bugs went to the bridge as well) so it looks like I will get both with Ziggy. I am so happy!
