Hi, I’ve had 2 house rabbits in the past but that was almost 15yrs ago. Kids got in the way and I never replaced my last one after she passed away. But we really loved having them and they were free roaming when we got home from work each day. I don’t think these will be free roaming though…too many cords to chew and nice wood furniture
Now I’m a guinea pig person and my son decided he wanted a rabbit. He’s 12 and has wanted one for about a year so he’s been learning and reading lots of info. Today was the big day for him!
He adopted a bonded pr of Lionhead rabbits named Sugar and Spice. They are adorable and supposed to be 4mos old but I think they might be a mother/daughter pr because one is larger than the other and very protective of the smaller one.
We had only counted on one rabbit so need a bigger cage right off the bat. Not sure if we will do the cube route, build something, or try to add a play area onto the cage we have now.
Luckily, they are litter trained but they love to eat the newspaper under the bedding-is this OK? I know they are diggers but wasn’t sure about eating the paper.
I’m sure you’ll see me around a lot as I learn all over again about the bunnies along with my son.
