I know, Beka. You guys used to talk to me about Spockie, and I rambled on for months with all of my stories, but we realized that after 8 years, and several good vets (plus I had found HRS on line on my own) I had gotten some excellent advice and care over the years so had a lot to share with others. It really helped to do so, which is why I encourage all our members who have furbabies over the bridge to stick around. It’s very healing.
Rachel *tears up* & MM, Thank you.
Jersey, for those who were discussing psychic phoenemona in another thread, I think this is a good example. You just happened to find that post? On the Anniversary of his crossing the bridge? How cool is that! Did you feel a tingling around your ankles – something velvety soft?
I kidded because I said he had a foot fetish. He ran circles around my legs daily carrying the slipper. (Top count was 21 figure 8’s around my legs..) He gave me lots of kisses, and he let me pick him up, hold him like a baby daily, and carry him around on my shoulder for several minutes a day. He loved everyone, and wasn’t afraid to visit people, even when I gave a party. Sweetest guy unless it was nail trimming time….
I didn’t wear shorts for 8 years. Oddly, I asked a couple of vets if I should get him neutered, and they all advised against it! He never had other bunnies around us, so they said it was safe. He never sprayed particularly, but he did hump my ankles. I now believe I should have done the procedure.
With time comes knowledge I guess. Hopefully for the vets as well.
