Thought I should start a new thread as the last one about our recent rescue addition was getting too big.  Just a little history:

A friend learned of an abused bunny down the street from her & rescued it FOR ME!!!  All we were told was someone got it from Mexico around Eastertime & thought it was a boy…and so did we until we took it in to get fixed.  Pretty surprizing for us!  She recouperated from her surgery QUICKLY.  It was only about 36 hours afterwards when she took off running first chance she got.  We watched her incision carefully over the next couple weeks but other than her slowing down a bit, you could hardly tell!  Then, re-naming him/her…we had originally decided on Mortymrr (Morty) but now that he is a she, it just doesn’t fit.  This past month she has been called many names & this morning Ken said “Zhowee” & it stuck.  Zhowee had bonded with Gulliver & Lainey before she was fixed and it was pretty seamless afterwards.  Her & Lainey LOVE to go outside in the mornings.  Zhowee has quite a tunnel going & follows Lainey around like a little kid.  It is so cute!  Lainey completly acts like her mother.  Gulliver is so kicked back that not much phases him.  He has been much more active with the little one (getting big) around.  She sure has livened up everyone’s life around here!  So, here are some pics that show her markings.  Her fur feels like angora & is quite different than Gulliver & Lainey’s.  All their fur is very soft, just in different ways.  When Zhowee was fixed we had them shave about an inch of her fur by her bum because when we got her it was matted so close to her skin I didn’t want to hurt her by working them out.  I absolutley love the way her tail looked with the little puff ball on the end.  Does anyone shave parts of their buns for unique looks?  Watch it become a trend!  I’m just anxious for hers to grow back in & to see how full it will be.  Any new ideas on her breed mix?  She is getting super long & her back hoofers are pretty big in comparison to Gulliver & Lainey’s.  She eats well and exercises LOTS.  She plays hard & then flops & sleeps hard…to the extreme on everything!

The best part is SO FAR Zhowee still likes to be cuddled & held (sometimes).  She hasn’t been quite as comfortable with being held since her surgery.  Probably because we didn’t pick her up for 2 weeks (as instructed) afterwards.
