Hi everybody!
I looked over this website a lot before I adopted my bunbun and I figured it was about time to make a profile and say hello!
My bunny’s name is Opal, (Opal Amadora Nelson/Lady Nelson), sometimes I just call her “Her Ladyship.” She’s very proper. I’m not quite sure how old she is as I adopted her and the person who dropped her off at the shelter just found her wandering the streets. It was estimated that she is between a year and two years old. I’ve had her since the end of August, so only about a full month. She is definitely a snuggler. Loves being pet and will flop down next to your leg when you sit on the floor. She’s a sweetie, but like nobility, very particular about everything. She does seem a little nervous by nature, but she’s calmed down a bunch since I adopted her. Can’t really blame her for being neurotic, they did find her wandering the streets. Who knows what the poor thing has been through?
I’m pretty new to bunnies. The last time I had a furry creature of my own was about ten years ago and it was a hamster named doodoo. I did, however, practically live with two of my college friends who both had bunnies and totally fell in love with them. When I came out to graduate school, I was thinking of adopting a guinea pig, but one of my old friends convinced me a bunny was a better choice. I found Opal online and it was love-at-first-onlineprofile-sight. I went through hell and high water with the adoption process, but she is the perfect bunny and I love her dearly.
As I mentioned, I’m a graduate student. My focus is Native American Religions. So I read. A lot. Opal likes chewing up the scholars I dont like, so it works out pretty well.
When I have time, I like being crafty: crocheting, making miniatures, sewing, painting, ect. As a result, my bunny’s castle is totally awesome.
I ought to go finish my homework for class this afternoon, but Hello to everybody! I hope you’re all having an awesome day!!
